1) At a meeting of the Winscombe branch of the Women's Liberal Association, held at Woodborough Hall, Mrs. Tanner (president) spoke of the importance of party policies and ties, in women's important role in supporting their particular party in achieving their aims through personal education and communal spirit. Afterwards Mrs. Swann spoke about the Irish tenament system and the differences in rent between England and Ireland, as well as the unjustices the Irish system represented for the tenants. 2) At a meeting of the Robin Hood Ward Women's Liberal Society at Nottingham addresses were given by Mrs. Cowen, Coucellors Brownsword and Hill.
