1) At the second annual meeting of the Women's Auxiliary of the Birmingham Liberal Association, Mrs. Olser, who presided, addressed the traditionalistic, outdated views society held with regard to women's professions. Her speech is quoted in excerpts and otherwise summed up. Afterwards, Miss Orme spoke about the urgency for women to carry out the work of the liberal party with vigour, unlike the ladies of the Primrose league. 2) Mrs. Latham, at a meeting of the Association at Nantwich, 'said she wished the Women's Liberal Association to be a means of educating them in liberal thoughts and liberal principles'. In the course of her speech, she touched upon several social issues, before addressing the topic of the 'free land' and the Home Rule Question. 3) At a meeting in Berwickshire, Mrs. Carlaw Martin urged women to take up political work, before Miss Thomson spoke about the Irish question and Miss Mary Kellie read the report of the Association's progress in Berwickshire. 4) At Croydon, Miss Abrahams spoke about Women's Trade Unions. 5) At a meeting in Westminster Mrs. Mallet delivered an address "On the London Programme in its Relation to Women". Several other ladies also spoke at the gathering. 6) Addressing a meeting of the Association at Morpeth, Lady Trevelyan spoke about the Association's achievements of the past year.
