Abstract

At a meeting of the Women's Liberal Association for South Kensington, held at the private studio of Miss Ferguson, several addresses were delivered to a female audience. Miss Donkin read an "excellent paper" ob "Boards of Guardians," followed by elaborations by Maye Ashton Dilke on the work possibilities that have been opened to women on school boards and their sub-committees. Afterwards, Mrs. Broadley Reid gave a lecture on "Vestries," inviting the critical input of the audience in the conclusion to her address. After her lecture, Mrs. Brown read "a very instructive paper" on "County Councils" and the utility of women if they are allowed to sit in them. The meeting was then closed with some final remarks by Mrs. Morgan, who thanked the speakers for their efforts.
