Abstract

Mentions Ames's address on "The Press, and its Connection with the Temperance Reform," given at the British Women's Temperance Association's conference. Describes her as a "fluent and clear [speaker], always bringing her point home to her audience. Like so many of her countrywomen, speaking comes natually to her."
