At a meeting of the Association in Bristol, Mrs. Crawshay reads a paper on "Lady Helps," which is "admirably read and contained matter for a lively discussion afterwards." It is partially summarised, and partially quoted. A critical response by Mrs. William Grey is also quoted from. On a separate date, "the economic section was even more crowded than on preceding days, as papers by Mrs. Wm. Grey, Miss Carpenter, and Miss Priestman had been announced." The papers are summarised or paraphrased, except for Priestman's, which is read by another woman and commented on briefly. "Miss Buckland also read a paper on 'Rhabdomaney and Belomaney'" in the anthropological section.
