In the section on economic science and statisitcs, "Mrs. R. M. Crawshay read a paper on domestic sesrvice for gentlewomen," which is subsequently paraphrased, as is the discussion that follows. "In the Economic Science section Mrs. Grey read a paper in which she complained of the national standard of educaion. This was followed by papers by Miss Carpenter on industrial schools and by Miss Priestman on the industrial position of women as affected by their exclusion from the suffrage." Carpenter's paper is reproduced.
