Abstract

1) Education - British Association: Mentions several women, including Flora Stevenson and Isabella Tod, speaking at a meeting on "the higher education of women." A paper by Mrs. Daniels, and contributions by other women, are summarised or paraphrased. 2) Trades' Union Congress: Three female delegates attend the congress. Mrs. Paterson's commentary on the Factory Act is reproduced at length, Miss Simcox's contribution to the discussion in brief.
